17. Gordon Ramsay’s Steak Sandwich

Happy Canada Day! This steak sandwich has to be one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Ramsay himself even calls this the ultimate steak sandwich! It was actually one of the first recipes I made from Gordon Ramsay. The jammy tomato’s were amazing and although expensive, the tenderloin goes super well with this sandwich. I might have also put truffle oil in the jammy tomatoes 😉You’ll definitely wish you knew about this sooner and let me know what you think!

Ingredients
- Tenderloin or filet steak
- Cherry tomatoes
- Arugula
- Ciabatta baguette
- Salt
- Pepper
- Mayonnaise
- Whole grain mustard
- Red onion
- Jalapeño or red chilies
- Sherry vinegar
- Olive oil
- Basil
- Garlic
- Butter
- Thyme

Directions
- To make the jammy tomatoes, dice a red onion and jalapeño. Slice your cherry tomatoes and add your onions and peppers to a medium hot skillet and cook until soft. Add your tomatoes in and break the skin so the liquids spreads on the pan. Once the tomatoes look jammy, add in Sherry vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Add in sliced fresh basil in after and mix
- For the steak, season with salt and pepper and sear over high heat until browned on all sides. Turn down heat and add in butter, garlic cloves and thyme and base the steak with the butter. Once basted, add steak into oven and cook until 125 internal or until desire doneness. Let rest and pour over remaining juices over the resting steak. Once finished resting, slice steak into thin strips
- Combine mayonnaise and whole grain mustard and mix.

- To assemble, add your mustard mayo, arugula, sliced steak and cherry tomato jam on top of steak.

With simple steps and readily available ingredients, you can create a little gourmet masterpiece😄 Juicy chicken meets antipasto filling, making it a hassle-free recipe that delivers maximum flavor. An incredible healthy meal without breaking a sweat!

Ingredients //
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• 4 thin slices of prosciutto
• 4 pepperoncini peppers
• 4 slices of provolone cheese
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Italian seasoning
• Parmesan cheese
• pesto (optional)
• parsley (for garnish)

Instructions //
▫️Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
▫️Make Hasselback cuts: Place one chicken breast on a cutting board. Make parallel cuts across the chicken, about 1/2 inch apart, stopping about 1/4 inch before cutting through entirely. Repeat with the remaining chicken breasts.
▫️Stuff the cuts: Take a slice of prosciutto and fold it into thirds. Insert it into one of the cuts in the chicken breast. Follow with a slice of pepperoncini and a slice of provolone cheese. Repeat for the other cuts and remaining chicken breasts.
▫️Drizzle with olive oil. Place the stuffed chicken breasts in a baking dish. Drizzle them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle some Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese on top for added flavor.
▫️Bake: Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for about 18-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
▫️Serve: Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Serve the Hasselback Stuffed Antipasto Chicken hot, garnished with additional Italian seasoning and drizzled with pesto if desired.
