Breakfast Coffee Chocolate Oats

Breakfast Coffee Chocolate Oats

The coziest mocha moment in a bowl — a breakfast for coffee lovers!

I don’t know about you, but when mornings feel sluggish and I need a little kick to get going, this bowl is my go-to. It’s warm, chocolatey, and has just the right touch of espresso to wake up your soul — kind of like if your favorite oat bowl and a mocha latte had a baby😍

This isn’t just breakfast — this is a hug in a bowl with a gentle caffeine boost. It’s also super easy, customizable, and totally satisfies those chocolate cravings in a nourishing way. If you love starting your day with cozy, indulgent flavors that still leave you feeling energized and balanced, you need to try this.

Ingredients:

For the Oats:

  • 30g rolled oats
  • 15g vanilla soy protein powder (or your favorite protein)
  • 3g chia seeds (for a little fiber and thickness)
  • 1 tsp instant coffee (adjust to your caffeine needs!)
  • ½ ripe banana, mashed
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • 90ml water
  • 90ml unsweetened almond milk

Toppings (aka the best part):

  • ½ banana, sliced
  • Frozen strawberries
  • A big spoonful of soy yogurt
  • Sprinkle of cocoa powder
  • Shredded coconut
  • A few espresso chocolate-covered beans (trust me!)
  • A drizzle of chocolate hazelnut butter 🍫

Directions:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix together all ingredients except the banana. Microwave on 600W for about 2 minutes.
  2. Stir in the mashed ½ banana. Mix well until the oats look creamy and rich.
  3. Microwave again for another 1–2 minutes, depending on your texture preference.
  4. Add your toppings! Pile them high — go full barista mode with cocoa dust and those melty chocolate touches. Then spoon in and let the cozy mocha vibes carry you through the day.

Tips & Customizations:

  • For extra richness: Add a spoonful of nut butter or swap almond milk for coconut milk.
  • Don’t do caffeine? Use decaf instant coffee or a coffee-flavored syrup without caffeine.
  • Need more protein? Stir in extra protein powder or Greek yogurt after microwaving.
  • Want it creamier? Microwave a little less, or add more mashed banana for a pudding-like texture.

Why I Love This Recipe:

This is one of those breakfasts that feels special, but comes together in under 10 minutes. It’s perfect for when you want something warm and comforting, but don’t want to spend ages in the kitchen. The coffee and chocolate combo gives me life — it’s a treat that feels like dessert, but is secretly nourishing.

I love curling up with a bowl of this while answering emails or journaling. Add a cozy playlist, and you’ve basically got a mini self-care ritual. ✨

Also: the toppings? Completely customizable. Go full chocolate heaven, or balance it with tart berries and creamy yogurt — the contrast is what makes it magic.
